Well, after an incredible showing with his last EP featuring 067Red I went through his discography and found this. Another EP with this time a Griselda artist who seems to be on everyone’s radar at the moment and with that wrestling nod album cover I felt only right to give this a shot, so let’s talk about it!
This is the Nov 2025 EP drop by Producer -DiMaggio and MC -Tom SOS and together they drop another 3 track, 4 minute record that effectively shows the chemistry between the two!
Let’s once again start off with the production value.
We have track one -…Amuse we have a more traditional hip hop inspiration with those spacey chord progressions, skeletal drums and some later edition of bass strings that help bring a sense of intensity to the track! I feel this is a great introduction to the EP as a whole!
On the second track -Entree we get into my favourite sub genre of hip hop the Jazz inspiration! From those glossy and beautiful Jazz horns that are prominently in the forefront on this track as well as a second layer of horns that are in the background!
There’s also some light string use and Jazz drums that help set the tone of the track alongside some delicate keys that make this track easily my favourite of the whole EP!
On track three we have -Toast which ends the record we have a more relaxed, lo fi vibe to close it off. This one has those acoustic strings, synth chords and what sounds like a collection of flute samples that is executed with those light drums. I’m really happy he chose to end the EP with such an ambient sound because it helps bring the whole EP together in this atmospheric energy!
As far as Tom goes, he’s a man who has been on everyone’s mind for a reason. Griselda didn’t hire him as a fluke, he’s at the top of his game right now thanks to his incredibly smooth flow, his interesting lyricism that blends both street poetry and introspection together as well as his natural charisma that keeps the audience engaged!
In the span of only 4 minutes (just as 067 Red was able to do) he captivated the listener. Utilising the short time he has to make every bar, verse and line count. He doesn’t waste it trying to be over the top or experimental but rather stays true to himself and what he knows best and acts accordingly!
No features or unnecessary distractions to takeaway from his performances which kill on this EP!
Again, only 4 minutes I know you have time to tune into this one!
