Glock Talk

This might be my favourite collaboration of NEMS in my personal opinion. Ever since their break out album that made it to the top of my favourite albums of his, they are back with one of the most infectious singles I’ve heard in the boom Bap game! One of those tracks you gotta hear to believe! This is the brand new single by MC’s NEMS & Ron Browz and Producer -Ron Browz and they collectively drop this stunningly heavy 2 minutes and 48 seconds of straight hardcore brilliance that is all laced in that one vocal loop that makes this instrumental a game changer! Of course I’m referencing that hypnotic loop of that female voice going ‘Let the Glock, Let The Glock, Let the Glock talk to you’ that loop is fucking incredible! Kind of reminds me of when Lil Wayne dropped that vocal sample on ‘6ft 7t’ that army march anthem! Well this is similar to that for the underground and honestly I could listen to that for hours! As the song progresses we get the heavy in your face drum usage as well as those powerhouse chord progressions and honestly that’s it! 3 seperate aspects coming together to create this minimal masterpiece of a beat that reminds me of the late 2000’s or early 2010 era! Back when instrumentals were sharp, raw and stripped back in order to give the MC’s in question the platform to go off on and boy do they! On the MC side of things we start off with NEMS, the powerhouse himself kicks off the track in his trademark bully rap fashion as he decimates the beat with his combination of brag bars and brash lyrical dominance that will make any weaker man curl into a ball and piss themselves! His voice is heavy his style is unrelenting and his pen game UNAPOLOGETICALLY BRUTAL! Nothing quite a NEMS verse to kick the track off! Of course on the back end we have Ron who comes in with his swift, smooth and clean delivery mixed with his own take on the brash bars and complex penmanship to really flex his vocabulary while rocking that street shit. The opposite in tone as NEMS but as we saw from their full length not too long ago they match each other perfectly! And this track is no exception! This is easily contender for ‘track of the year’ I’ve got a few lined up in my head and this one made the list! It’s catchy, mesmerising and hard hitting all in one! I’m also extremely happy to hear both these men together ahead! A chemistry I don’t wanna see end for a long time to come! If you ain’t on this one then FUCK YOUR LIFE!
