I gotta be honest, this is like a dream come true album for me. I said in my latest Feed album review with Dun Dealy that both him and Bori are essentially the same spirit in two different people and now we get a full album with both? It’s Christmas in August and with a small handful of prominent producers on hand this one is sure not to fail! This is the brand new collaborative album by Feed The Family’s own BoriRock and Dun Dealy! They are joined with Producers -Tremendiss -Vinyl Villain -Grim Doza -MichaelAngelo -John Scino And this one is a ZINGER FEVER DREAM! When we discuss the production aspect, we seen an album where Tremendiss handles 90% of the record with various powerhouses attributing to the overall vibe of the record. This is one of those albums that sound dangerous in execution! I feel that’s one of the main things about most ‘Feed The Family’ albums that we all gravitate to, the way they are able to create such an intense, rich and violent atmosphere that feels so fucking vivid that you feel absorbed by it! I mean look at the opening track -FETTY X CORTINA when we get that gruesome opening news snippet about the overdoes and overwhelming statistics of it all that slowly evolves into the track that has this powerful sonic story to it! You’ve got that sickeningly methodical drum work that’s combined with those thick bass lines, strong and steady sharp chords in the background that later incorporates those shimmering keys and occasional vocal parts that adds an extra level of texture! We have tracks like -RICHA JR which had one of the most infectious Pharrell signature 4 note loop trademark I’ve heard all year! With those strings on repeat 4x to kick the song off that later evolves into this wavy, classical mix that features these delicate strings that loop around the instrumental that’s combined with some occasional sharp secondary strings that we see advance into a more mainstream role as the song progresses! This one just feels dramatic! Like a score from ‘The Godfather’ it’s both classical and boom Bap inspired! There’s also the track ‘METHADONE PARADISE’ this one has the most soulful vibe across the whole album! Feeling like early era Kanye West. This one has those beautifully executed vocal harmonies on loop that also features some funky drum patterns, thick bass and the occasional background piano keys that feels light and smooth in nature! This one feels like -Be Common or -Drop Out Kanye inspired! When we discuss the rapping side of it. No features just 10 tracks and damn near half an hour of the dopest street talk you’ve heard in your life over some booming instrumentals! These two are the twins of FEED, same soul different body and to say they sync would be the worlds greatest understatement because they don’t just vibe their auras MORPH to create this one of a kind back and fourth that is as perfect and connected as two can hope to be! Both have similar on mic mannerisms, from their infectious adlibs, high energy and overflowing charisma. Both spit that in depth street zinger talk and both showcase impressive and impeccable rhythm across the tracks! To me this beyond a ‘Feed The Family’ connection this is two men who share the same passion and enunciate styles to create such a seamless experience on the album! They both understand the key to making the verses on the track feel dangerous and thrilling. The right wordplay the right timing to drop the sentences the right tone of voice they understand it all and it makes for a killer listen! I also appreciate the facts that there were no features! Keep in mind these two could have ANYONE they wanted to elevate the record, any of the top spitters is within their grasp even Bori bragging on one of the tracks ‘that’s why I don’t pay for features’ so if they wanted to they could but they chose to just let their natural chemistry shine through and it was a fucking solid decision by them because it is one hell of a mesmerising listen to hear two of the most compelling performers in our era go hand in hand the way they have! Truly amazing! So, what are you waiting for? Trust me once you start you won’t have to worry about being ‘Institutionalised’ because by the end you’ll be ZINGSTITUTIONALISED
