Combine that with the rapper of this caliber and you have an unstoppable listening experience! So let’s talk about it! This is the brand new single by -Jasz Official and Producer -NiKOLA and combined they brought exactly 2 minutes of unwavering sonic bliss that I guarantee will make you feel a certain way! You’d be dead inside otherwise! Let’s start with the lyrical side. Compared to his other single he sounds alot more focused, sharp and composed. Across this instrumental he’s bearing his thoughts, soul and ambitions while showcasing what makes him one of the supreme lyricists in the game! He sounds as fluent ever with his rhythmic rhymes combined with his focused and complex pen game that makes you feel like your listening to an authors most important and vulnerable thoughts come to life! What I love most about his writing on this track is how it feels personal and like he’s inviting us into his core mental state and the lyrics reflect that! Combine that with his strong sense of charisma and personality and that creates one of the strongest verses I’ve heard all month! Now onto that beat, man this is one I could listen to for DAYS not get sick of. It has inspirations from my favourite sub genre of hip hop ‘Jazz Rap’ and it does it in the most luscious way possible! On this track you have a minimal layered instrumental that features at the forefront this gorgeous Jazz Horn sympathy that loops around the track in an endless pattern that only switches up every 7-10 seconds with that slight high pitch to switch things up! There’s also some truly skeletal drum pattern, some thick bass and also a slight ambient period half way through the song that breaks the track up to set up the final verse but besides that this whole track runs as smooth as any I’ve heard all year! As I keep trying to tell the world, sometimes the most simple things create the best work and this is living proof of that!
