Looks like we are finally back with an artist that I’ve been following since last year and one who continues to push the envelope artistically, sonically and creatively in his career and this time around appearing with a fresh new producer he’s back to set the record straight on all those things! Let’s talk about it! This is the brand new single by MC -Jasz Offical (J.O) and Producer -Korza and this pair bring to the table a 2 minute and 38 second track that brings back his entry to the gritty and heavy vibes you’d expect to hear from a classic boom Bap track! For example we have the instrumental that’s has this eerie notion to it with those haunting piano keys that’s darkly sharp in that uneasy shrieking manner! That’s combined with some rhythmic and damn near sterile drum patterns that has a hypnotic effect on the listener! There’s also this soft, subtle and yet equally powerful vocal choir chords that loop around the track like a collection of dead angles lending their final breath to this loop that is sure to give the listeners goosebumps! This is the kind of track that has a cultish feel to it. Something you’d expect to hear playing when your kidnapped, thrown into a van and the last thing you hear before your used as some illuminati human sacrifice! Shit is absolutely wild! On the MC side of things though we have Jasz who is putting down some of the most dope lines and bars we’ve heard from him all year! Properly embracing the madness and letting it inspire his more unhinged side! He’s literally describing in the song not to undermine or underestimate what he’s willing to do for that cash! Talking about ‘hanging on by a thread, with hand on your neck while your legs dangling’ That’s some true ‘don’t fuck me, I’m that guy’ type of shit! He’s also executing this behaviour in his vocals and delivery. His flow feels more free Lance and spontaneous compared to others I’ve heard, sounding like he’s gone to his darkest most primal place and just spitting in the booth what comes to him! Sometimes a beat can influence and shift the artist inside and I feel this one lets us see the core most important things on Jasz mind and if you try mess with that well, you heard the lyrics!
