I couldn’t think of a better description for this track than the title name if I tried. This song is most definitely (FEROCIOUS) when you have a lyrical duo of two of the hardest spitters in the game combined with one of the illest producers? Your bound to get chaos this is nothing less then the sonic equivalent! Let’s go! This is the brand new single by MC’s -RJ Payne & Pretty Bulli and together they come equipped with the one and only -Kidd Called Quest and together they come heavy with two minutes and 17 seconds of absolute hip hop DOMINANCE that I have no doubt is going to shake up the culture once it’s released! Let’s start with the lyricism side of things, one thing I LOVE more then any is when you get two MC’s with different styles, cadences and personalities come together and rock a joint and that’s what we got here. With RJ kicking things off with his ‘ferociously’ raw approach to his bars that feel like a Sabre tooth tiger is ripping you apart! At first his flow seems calm and steady like the saber tooth stalking and waiting for the opportunity to strike! But as the song goes on so does RJ’s calmed tone as he launches into a tyranny of loud and powerful bars that signal the predator has found its target! It’s a dope and mesmerising presence to listen to! On the flip side we have Pretty Bulli who reminds me of a lioness! Queen of the jungle with the same savagery as the King with her own hip hop elegance! Across this track she’s talking her infamous street talk like she’s preaching her sermons to the jungle itself! Making every beast and foul demand her respect! From her slick and elegant bars comparative to her stalking and watching the competition to her complex mixed with brash attitude bars like her constant blood lust ready to unleash at any moment! She’s a literal killer on this track verbally and mentally! These two in their own unique ways compliment one another as the apex predators of the hip hop animal kingdom! As far as the production goes we have Kidd a man who has easily created the dopest hip hop name imaginable and has found a way to bring together these two cut throat MC’s under a rather hypnotic instrumental that is bound to stay stuck in your head as it has mine since I discovered it! On this track it starts off with this repetitive beats that have like a 6x signature until it evolves into this full track with these haunting and wavering plucked chord progressions, what sounds like a eerier whisper that subtly runs through the track and some hypnotic drum beats that wraps this whole track up! There’s also a sharp pitched string that goes off in between the middle and the back of the track to provide that extra layer of groovy texture! The one thing I love about this beat is its dark but whimsical nature. At first glance you think this is a witty nonsensical ride along until it gets going and turns into the soundtrack for Friday The 13. It becomes bonkers real quick and in the best way possible. To best compliment those two MC’s he took a route that was unique, creative and one of a kind and it paid off BIG TIME because this is the type of beats that will stay stuck in your head for a lifetime!
