Before I even stepped into this album I didn’t know what to expect but as soon as I pressed play the excitement was immediate. It’s like the sounds and music agreed with me instantly and with that in mind I feel it’s my duty to bring this producer and his work to the masses! Let’s go! This is the brand new album by Producer -FlipzWorld with features from -SomeoneCalledSomeone -Vice Carter -B1 The Architect -Jeffery iLL -Arkh Zeus -Le Zeppo -J-Ferr -Pohnny -UGGGY -Samraps -Legit -Kendall Spencer -Mxntis -Edison Av -Jack Craven -Grant Fore -Bigg Afrika And man with this huge roster we have one of the most infectious and powerful scores I’ve heard all year! Why? Because this album sounds like if Jin Kazama made a hip hop album! If Tekken went underground rap it would sound like this! Heavy instrumentation, unrelenting sounds and atmosphere that makes you want to square up against randoms in your arena in your pursuit to be the ‘King Of The Iron Fist Tournament’ I ain’t kidding, with tracks like -When They Talking and we hear that ruthless guitar strings in that slow damn bear droning rhythm that’s combined with that thick bass, sharp and unpredictable synth chords with that slow yet gargantuan drum patterns! This all comes together to create a track that’s so blood thirsty it will bring out your inner demon form! What about tracks like -Arrest Him? This one sounds like the modern day Wu Tang torched passed! Not just because of that similar opening sample used but the frantic and uncontrollable energy this track spews out is crazy! You’ve got those chaotic strings that come in and out of the track that’s fused with those hypnotic drums and thick bass! If this sound had a name it would be -Yoshimitsu! A Franco crazy killer with no rhyme or reason! The song -See It Vanish is interesting! Because this one has a more calm yet eerie vibe from the rest as it utilises those methodically paced strings, sci fi synth chords and subtle drums that all comes together in a heavy bass explosion towards the chorus structure! You know how -Kazuya is never stressed or emotional? Just a cold hearted powerhouse who is always level headed! That’s the toughest guy in the room and this track is his energy to a tee! Now on to the MC side of things which obviously stands out not only for its immense length of names but the quality inside them! The ones I’m familiar with are monstrous and the ones I wasn’t after hearing them they impressed me just the same. You have to understand this production ain’t your regular boom Bap type regular shit. This is on some hardcore, fighting game music on steroids type beats and the various rappers do a fantastic job at incorporating the music and their own personal styles and cadences to the mix! It feels like each instrumental was tailor made for the artists. The flows and sharp verbal reflexes on this thing are incredible! The chemistry when there’s more then one name involved is solid and the overall collective efforts is one that proves they all came with their best verses in mind and a slight competitive energy to try make sure they were the ones who had ‘Verse Of The Night’ across this series of tracks and I’ll be damned if I have to be the one to decide who rocked it the best! Flipz literally recruited some of the top spitters and had them drive home these ridiculous beats! If that ain’t tough then I don’t know what is. From the strongest performances to the unfathomable production this one is definitely not one to sleep on!
