We back again with another deep dive into this man’s past discography. So far he’s cultivated a sound that not many (if any) are on and I’m curious to see if all his records on this vibe or if this one will be something I haven’t heard yet! Let’s find out together! This is the 5th Of September 2025 album by MC -O.G Proce$$ that has production from -TommyHil -Jae1 -Molly KiLLa -rizzoheatup -Luka burr -TJ Murphy -Foley Beats -15 Grams And features from -JordanE420 -Quincy $mith -RealWolfGang -G Rayes A lot of the same names from previous albums which proves a sense of ‘brotherhood’ across this man’s discography. I also notice how each album I’ve covered starts with a dope instrumental track! It seems to be his signature which is a fun thing to look forward to across each album I review! Now, while there are still some key elements of that smooth, fever dream atmosphere that he’s been crushing on the last few albums I covered I feel this is his first true traditional ‘hip hop’ album he’s dropped yet. I can hear a distinct Funk/Southern fusion that makes this feel like a record from the early 2000’s that i definitely dug! For example there’s tracks like -Players Groove 1 where we hear those thick plucked bass strings, some rhythmic strings and delicate piano keys that has some light subtle vocal snippets towards the end! This definitely feels like a track I could imagine Ja Rule be on in his prime! Or tracks like -Fly Action Hero we have what appears to have this P-Funk club energy as hear a combination of those background bass chords, sharp synth keys and some second layer electric guitar strings and some hypnotic drums that make this feel like a 1980’s party montage scene! Or what about the track -Side Mission as we hear this interesting track that has a combination of Jazz Horns, sticky Asian style strings, some light vocal snippets and some heavy in your face drums with some subtle synth style chords in the background! I’d have to say this one has to be the most unusual on the album but it’s the unpredictable nature of this song that drew me to it! When we discuss the rap bars. This is probably his most traditional work I’ve heard as well! Traditional doesn’t mean bad but after going through two albums of his more introspective, healing and spiritual style lyricism to a more head on dare I say ‘gangsta rap’ path is kinda crazy but he’s able to utilise that lane to the fullest on this one! Considering the beats themselves are more tailor made for that theme it makes his lyrics not as shocking or awkward to hear compared to his other work. It fits the sonic narrative and he’s rolling with it. We hear him talk about everything from partying to woman to his self progression, money and everything in between. He still maintains his strong and steady flow and his balanced tone and speed! Combine that with his natural charisma and passion on the mic and you get a different side of him that I personally haven’t seen yet and it was definitely refreshing! As well were the various features who made this album feels more like a whose who of names reuniting in studio 54 with all the P-Funk, Southend charm of the instrumentals then it did regular guests! They brought their A game and more! Always providing solid vibes and chemistry to the records! Different than his usual vibe? Yes. Bad? No! It just further highlights his versatility on the record in a different lane! He’s embracing that gangsta shit and he sounds good doing so!
