Uncanny Phantasmagoria

You know what I appreciate most about this artist? It’s his ‘uncanny’ ability to turn any release into a dark and twisted sense of reality. I swear at least 2 other of his last drops have kept me up at night due to how insane they were sonically and it seems he’s back on that ominous wave once more! This is the brand new album by MC -Eclyse with Production from -Omar Glomar -V-Sine Beatz -Level 13 -SMG And Features from -G-Fam Black -B1 The Architect -uMaNg And with his incredible line up to front this one seems to be another example of eerie sounds meets underground hip hop done in only the way that HE can! Even from the very beginning in the opening track -Temporal Displacement! Talk about creepy. You’ve got those long winded keys that have this sickening echo to them! Combine that with those slow, surreal drums and those low usage bass lines that send a chill right down your spine! Combine that with the various spoken snippets and it adds to the overall atmosphere of the song! The song -Disorder continues that similar tone with these sharp and hypnotic loop that makes a relentless loop that can’t be ignored! That’s combined with some hard hitting drum work and some more ruthless bass that makes this one of the more minimal instrumentals but equally as heavy! What about the song -Seeing Diagonal which that awfully mysterious almost bewitched aura to it with those mesmerising horn progressions that are accompanied by those shimmering keys and swaying chords that are topped off with a hint of drum work that helps wrap this whole instrumental together! Truly a Marvelous piece of art! When we discuss the MC side of things we dive into a mind that’s equally as twisted and dark as the production himself. A man who I’m 99% sure has to be a true crime fanatic at heart to come up with music of this caliber and he rocks it well! Across this 12 track soundtrack we hear him bring forth his methodically charged rhyme schemes that are chock full of vividly descriptive lyrics, horror filled imagery and slick verses that sync with the music to a tee! I love how manufacturers himself on these beats. He’s cerebral and cunning while also mysterious and enigmatic! He has a story to tell (even if that story is full of pain and anguish) he’s still an excellent author who knows how to portray his lyricism! He’s smooth with his flow and has the proper charisma to stand on his own and make the album sound compelling in his individual performances! But that’s obviously not to detour or shit on the name he brought with him as features because as good as he is solo he can create powerful chemistry with anyone including these 3! Each man brings their own unique voice, style and flavour to the mix that amplifies the specific track they are on! So, wait till it’s sun up. Put on the headphones and enjoy yet another solid project by the man who is slowly but surely creating one of the most slept on discoveries in the game right now!
